Terms, cancellation & privacy
Written plainly, so you know exactly where you stand before you book.
These terms apply to all taxi, transfer and tour bookings made with Travel In Haridwar Travals, Devpura Chowk, Haridwar, Uttarakhand. Last updated July 2026. If anything here is unclear, ask us before you book — we would much rather explain it now than argue about it later.
Booking terms
A booking is confirmed only when we have sent you a written confirmation on WhatsApp or by email stating your date, vehicle, route and fare. A form submission or a phone conversation is an enquiry until that confirmation arrives, so please do check that you have received it.
Every fare we quote is all-inclusive of fuel, driver allowance, standard tolls and state permits for the route agreed. Parking charges, temple and park entry tickets, ropeway and helicopter tickets, and driver night-halt charges on multi-day journeys are not included and are payable separately unless your written quote says otherwise.
Fares are quoted for the route and itinerary agreed at the time of booking. If the route changes on the day — additional stops, an extended kilometre count, a longer waiting period or an extra night — the revised amount is calculated at our standard rates and discussed with you before it is added.
The vehicle category you book is guaranteed; the specific model within that category may vary with availability. Where a like-for-like vehicle is unavailable we will offer you an upgrade at no additional cost rather than a downgrade.
Guest numbers and luggage must match the vehicle booked. For everyone's safety our chauffeurs will not carry passengers beyond the licensed seating capacity, and we ask you to tell us your true group size and luggage volume when booking so we send the right vehicle.
Payment
For point-to-point transfers and local rentals, no advance is normally required — payment is made at the end of the journey. For multi-day tours, Char Dham journeys, wedding fleets and any booking where we are holding hotel rooms on your behalf, we ask for a token advance to block those rooms and vehicles, with the balance settled at the close of the trip.
We accept cash, UPI, bank transfer and the common digital wallets. A GST invoice is issued on request for corporate and business bookings; please tell us at the time of booking if you need one, along with your GSTIN.
We will never ask you to pay to a personal account belonging to a driver or to any number other than the one confirmed to you in writing by our office. If anyone asks you to do so, please stop and call us on +91 98377 87335.
Cancellation & refunds
For point-to-point transfers, local rentals and single-day trips, cancellation more than 24 hours before the scheduled pickup is free of charge. Cancellation within 24 hours of pickup, or a no-show at the pickup point, may attract a charge of up to 25 per cent of the fare to cover the vehicle and chauffeur already committed to your booking.
For multi-day tours and Char Dham journeys, where hotels have been booked in your name, the token advance is refundable in full if you cancel more than 15 days before departure. Between 15 and 7 days, we refund the advance less any amount the hotels have already charged us and will not return. Within 7 days of departure the advance is generally not refundable, again because those rooms are paid for and released.
Where a journey cannot proceed because of landslide, road closure, heavy snow, flooding, a government or administrative order, or any other circumstance genuinely outside our control, we will do everything reasonable to reroute you or reschedule your dates at no additional cost. Amounts already paid by us and not recoverable from hotels or third parties cannot be refunded, but we will show you exactly what those amounts are.
Helicopter tickets to Kedarnath and any other third-party ticket are governed by the operator's own cancellation rules, which are frequently stricter than ours and are outside our control. We pass on refunds in full as and when the operator releases them.
Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 7 to 10 working days.
On the journey
Our chauffeurs drive within legal speed limits and rest as required by law. On mountain routes the driver has final say on whether it is safe to proceed, and we ask you to respect that judgement — it is based on experience of these roads that very few visitors have.
Driving hours on hill routes are normally limited to daylight where practicable. We will not begin a high-altitude leg after dark except in an emergency.
Smoking, alcohol and any illegal substance are not permitted in our vehicles. Guests are responsible for the cost of repairing any damage to the vehicle caused by them or by members of their party.
Please keep your belongings with you. While our drivers take every care, we cannot accept liability for personal property left in a vehicle, though we will always try to recover and return anything reported to us.
We strongly recommend travel and medical insurance for Char Dham and other high-altitude journeys. Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri, Yamunotri, Chopta and Auli all lie above 2,500 metres, and altitude affects people unpredictably regardless of age or fitness.
Guests travel at their own risk in respect of health conditions. Please tell us at booking about any heart, respiratory or mobility condition in your party so we can pace the itinerary appropriately and carry the right support.
Privacy
We collect only what we need to run your journey: your name, phone number, email address where you give it, travel dates, pickup and drop locations, group size, and — where the route requires it — the identity details needed for Char Dham Yatra registration and permits.
We use this information to prepare your quote, confirm your booking, complete any mandatory government registration for your route, and stay in touch with you before and during the journey. We do not use it for anything else.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only where it is necessary to deliver your booking — with the hotel you are staying at, with a helicopter or safari operator whose tickets we are buying on your behalf, or with the government portal that issues your yatra registration — and only to the extent required.
Booking records are retained for as long as needed to serve you and to meet our tax and legal obligations. You may ask us at any time what we hold about you, ask for a correction, or ask us to delete your details where we are not required by law to keep them. Write to kvansh1987@gmail.com or message us on WhatsApp.
This website does not run advertising trackers or sell visitor data. Where our booking form or an embedded map is used, the data you enter goes only to us and to the service providing that map.
