About this journey
This four-day retreat takes the two things Rishikesh is genuinely world-class at — white water and yoga — and puts them in the same trip, which sounds contradictory and turns out to work perfectly. Mornings on the mat, afternoons on the river, evenings at the aarti; or the reverse, or all of one and none of the other. It suits couples, friends travelling together, and solo travellers, and it is our most popular non-pilgrimage package with guests under forty.
The rafting runs on the Ganga between Shivpuri, Marine Drive and Brahmpuri, with grade II and III rapids that are exciting without being frightening and a couple of grade IV stretches for those who want them. The season is roughly September to June, closing during the monsoon when the river is too high. We book only certified operators with current safety equipment and proper briefings, and the guides are experienced enough to read a nervous first-timer and adjust accordingly. Cliff jumping and a riverside beach stop are usually part of the run.
The yoga side is arranged to suit rather than imposed. Rishikesh has been a meditation centre for centuries and a yoga capital since the late 1960s, and the range runs from a single drop-in hatha class at an ashram on the ghats to a structured multi-day programme with a resident teacher. We match you to a school and a style rather than booking whatever has space, and morning sessions on a terrace above the river are the version most guests end up preferring.
The rest fills in easily. Bungee jumping and giant swings operate a short drive away for anyone who wants them, the Beatles Ashram in the forest is worth a slow couple of hours, the walk to Neer Garh waterfall makes a good afternoon, and Neelkanth Mahadev Temple is a scenic thirty-kilometre drive into the hills. Evenings are the Ganga Aarti at Parmarth Niketan or Triveni Ghat, and then the cafés along the river. Vehicle and driver are yours throughout, so the balance between adrenaline and stillness is entirely yours to set.

The Yatra season runs from late April or early May to early November, pausing during peak monsoon (mid-July to August) when the mountain roads can be uncertain. May–June and September–October give the most comfortable weather and the clearest views. Tell us your month and we will advise honestly on conditions.
Indicative one-way starting fares from Haridwar: Rishikesh ₹1,400, Neelkanth ₹2,399, Dehradun ₹2,200, Mussoorie ₹3,400, Dehradun Airport ₹2,400. Longer tours are quoted per day and include fuel, driver allowance, tolls and parking. Our full rate card is on the Rates page — the figure we quote is the figure you pay.
Anywhere in Haridwar at no extra charge — Har Ki Pauri, Devpura, Jwalapur, Bhupatwala, Shantikunj, Patanjali, the railway station or your hotel. We also pick up from Rishikesh, Dehradun (Jolly Grant) Airport, and can arrange a car from Delhi Airport or anywhere in the NCR for outstation journeys.
UPI (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm), bank transfer, all major debit and credit cards, and cash. A small token advance confirms your vehicle and stays; the balance is payable as the journey unfolds. Every payment is receipted on WhatsApp the moment it lands.
Cancel more than 15 days before departure and the token advance is refunded in full, minus any non-refundable hotel or permit charges already paid on your behalf. Between 15 and 7 days we refund half. Inside 7 days the advance is held as credit against a future journey rather than forfeited. Dates can usually be moved free of charge, subject to availability.
