Kedarnath Dham — Ek Dham Yatra

Ek Dham is Kedarnath alone, done properly, in four days. It is the shortest pilgrimage we offer and it exists for a specific and very common situation: people who have limited leave, who want the single most powerful of the four shrines, and who would rather do one Dham without rushing than four with a stopwatch running. It is also the natural first Yatra for anyone testing whether the full circuit is for them.

Day one drives from Haridwar through Devprayag and Rudraprayag — stopping at the confluences where two rivers of different colours run side by side before merging — to a stay at Guptkashi or Sonprayag. This matters more than it sounds: starting the climb after a night at 1,300 metres rather than straight off a nine-hour drive from the plains is the single biggest difference between a comfortable trek and a miserable one.

Day two is the ascent. Sixteen kilometres from Gaurikund, six to nine hours for most walkers, past Jungle Chatti and Bheembali with tea stalls at the right intervals. Ponies, palkis and porters are arranged in advance at agreed rates, and helicopter shuttles from Phata, Sersi or Guptkashi can be added subject to weather and availability. We aim to have you at the temple for a quieter darshan window, and we build in time for Bhairavnath temple above the shrine, which has the best view in the valley, and the Adi Shankaracharya samadhi behind it.

Staying the night at Kedarnath is what we push for wherever rooms allow, because the meadow after the day-trippers have descended — bells carrying across empty ground, the peak catching the last light — is the part people remember. Day three walks down and day four returns to Haridwar. The vehicle carries oxygen, a medical kit and warm layers throughout, and Yatra registration is completed before you travel. Add Badrinath and this becomes Do Dham at six days; our concierge will price both.
